SATYENDRANATH BOSE

Satyendranath Bose did a lot of work in quantum theory. He also worked on Plank’s black body radiation law and Hypothesis of Light Quanta which he sent to Einstein to get his opinion. Einstein was enthusiastic about Bose’s letter and translated his paper to German. Einstein extended Bose's treatment to material particles whose number is conserved and published several papers on this extension.

Bose graduated from the University of Calcutta and later taught there. He also taught at University of Decca, but later returned to teach in Calcutta. Satyendranath Bose was also known for the Einstein-Bose Statistics.
